I talk with so many people who have lost loved ones and it is a regular experience that people who have lost someone say other people feel awkward around them and don’t know what to say. One thing I hear across the board from these folks is that they ALWAYS want to hear your stories about their loved one. And if you didn’t know their loved one, ask about them, over and over. Say their name. Share their stories. Keep them alive.
